Varsity: UPDATE

Sunday’s game with NTU Renegades will be subject to a pitch inspection on Sunday morning, with officials optimistic that the field at the Harvey Hadden Stadium will be playable.

The pitch underwent a thorough inspection this afternoon, with Outlaws wide receiver coach Tom Snee joining representatives from the Renegades and groundstaff at the Wigman Road facility.

Snee said, “As of 3pm on Friday afternoon, we were all in agreement that the pitch was playable.  However, with a harsh frost predicted overnight on Friday and the potential for snow on Saturday, we decided not to make a final decision until Sunday morning.

“The pitch is marked and ready to go, and hopefully by 1pm on Sunday we’ll be playing football.”
